How to get a celeb autograph or picture at Toronto Film Festival 2008?

I’m planning to buy a ticket to one of the screenings this year. It will be my first time attending so I’m not sure how to go about getting an autograph or picture with the celebs who will be there. Do you have to stand with the crowds or can you linger around the red carpet? Any help will be greatly appreciated.
