How to draw a celebrity without copyright infringement?

If i draw a celebrity (from a free image or from a combination of several images) would that be illegal? Do I have to draw in a scar or freckles to my drawing to prevent copyright infringement, or can I just leave it the way it is? This picture is for an art contest and may be duplicated and sold.

    The extent that your drawing contains protectable elements from copyrighted image then you may be infringing on copyright simply adding scar or freckles does not avoid infringement.
